Thanks to for the motivation to actually write a new entry, I should really anyway but am easily distracted, for once with fair cause!

So, About to open a small but well filled exhibition at RHS Rosemoor, a mix of wildlife, flower and landscape pics with the odd ghost too! I'll be there most Tuesdays, Thursdays and Weekends apart from one week, if you would like to come to see me then I'd love to see you, just get in touch if you want to be sure I'll be there!

And when I am not in the exhibition (i.e. before Rosemoor opens and after 5pm) then I'll be out wandering the gardens, playing with my new toy, a 100mm macro lens, which so far has only been used for taking pictures of baby Tawny Owls....obviously!

Baby Tawny Owls? Yes! A neighbour found a baby one and brought it back home as she was afraid it would get attacked on the ground, but, baby Tawnies walk out of the nest and along a  branch before falling off onto the ground where they get fed until they can climb back up. So, if you find a baby Tawny Owl then leave it there or make sure it is up on a branch where it can climb further up....but, the baby we put back up, stayed on the branch until I went back to check on it, then while I waited the adult appeared and stayed at the nest for ages, before flying over me and perching really close, it hooted, and the baby, who had been asleep until then, called back before falling off it's perch and hanging from one leg before dropping to the ground....my camera, naturally, was out of reach at this point!

Also got some new art classes starting in the autumn which is exciting if a little nerve wracking....it'll be fine once they settle down!

And generally things have been busy with a workshop and a talk and just helping friends, but still it appears, a little space for a bit of depression, but trying to shake that off by getting things done and cleared...I don't have tie or the energy to deal with that particular empty black dog! (our two black dogs certainly, even if they do claim to be permanently empty...!)

And I think a new Journal skin is in order....much as I like the blue Morpho, it's a little dark to read....maybe something bright with foxes or cherry blossom or a dragon...any suggestions?! (Yes, I am on a slight Japanese slant and also foxes which I might now be close to getting a photo of, and dragons, well, trying to make one....sort of fits, right?!)

Ok, so an update somewhere before a year has passed....!

Really busy at the moment with a commission - almost done so hopefully another day and a bit on it, then a workshop at Castle Drogo on wednesday  - this is a photographic workshop if anyone is interested...!

Also working on a batch of new workshops with a new company in the South West - will write more about those once they are firmed up and once the company is fully launched.

And I'll be at RHS Rosemoor on the May Bank Holiday weekend with my prints, so hopefully that will be busy - come and say Hi if you are in the area!

Lots more planned, but a huge amount to do int he rest of life before I can get to really creating new things - I can't wait!

Also, I accidentally bought another longbow...but it seems quite nice, just have to wait for my wrist to recover from gardening so I can shoot without deboning my wrist with the string...!

Seeing as I haven't written a journal for ages....well, 2 years, which is appalling!

So, just a brief update and I will try and do more soon!

Life has been busy, with a big charity project to support the Royal British Legion, plus 2 exhibitions of my own work! Sorting stuff has been ongoing and continues to be so. A new laptop has arrived and is hard at work now....my old one still works but overheats and blacks out irregularly! Several Minamicons have been and gone and lead to me doing a major Totoro costume (in size anyway...photos soon maybe...).  So all crazy really and very varied!

Still planning equipment upgrades but waiting for the Canon 5D4...mainly as the 5D3 is awesome but I can't quite afford it yet due to everything else being upgraded....well, replaced due to old age!!

I am almost getting set up in terms of a working space, I have a desk for drawing and my computer desk is actually being cleared so I may be able to use it once again! Planning on making one still but it's going to be a while yet before I have space to make it in!

So, sorry I have been absent, I do watch and keep an eye on people, if you do stop by then please do say hello...I am going to be dealing with my message backlog now....well, next few days!!
